TOUGH RIDE LEADERSHIP
Mike is a Deputy Chief with the US Pentagon Police. Mike has been a member of Law Enforcement United since its inception in 2009, and has participated in both the VA route and the PA route. Mike has also participated in the FLETC ride since 2010.
Matt is a patrol sergeant with the City of Madison Police Department in Wisconsin. Matt has been with Madison Police for the past 25 years. Matt has been a member of LEU for the past 10 years and rode the FLETC ride for the several years. Matt has assisted with the fishing clinics at COPS kids camp and is also a mentor at camp.
SGT AT ARMS
Chris has been an officer with the Tucson Police Department for 24 years. Chris has served in patrol, bike unit, hostage negotiator, SWAT, firearms instructor and since 2011 assigned to the Air Support Unit as a helicopter/airplane pilot. Chris is also an Arizona C.O.P.S. Trustee, coworker survivor of Officers Hardesty and Hite, and married to a surviving spouse Sherry Potter. Chris has been involved with LEU since 2010
Kelly Donahue is a Captain with the Madison Police Department in Madison, WI and has served with the Department for 24 years. Kelly became a member of LEU in 2011, after mentoring at COPS Kids Camp in 2010, and learning about the mission of LEU. She continues to mentor at COPS Kids Camp and has also mentored at COPS Young Adults Camp. Kelly has ridden the Virginia, Pennsylvania, FLETC and Tough Ride routes.
SUPPORT TEAM LEAD
Toisha is a Regional Support Administrator for Heartland Dental. Toisha became close with the surviving family of the fallen officer at her husband’s department and has been actively involved and supported several COPS and LEU sanctioned events since. She also serves as the social media coordinator for the FLETC ride.
Juan retired from the Office of the Sheriff in Fairfax County, VA in Jan 2015 after 29 years of distinguished service. He worked in many positions and capacities over the years and finished out as an expert in the Civil Service department. He resides in Chesterfield, VA with his wife Debbie of 36 years. Juan is now working for the Richmond International Airport Police Dept. He has been participating with LEU and doing the FLETC ride for 6 years. Juan and Debbie have 3 grown sons and 4 beautiful grandchildren.
Jeanne Eckes-Roper, RN is a registered nurse with 35 years in trauma and critical care. She currently works for the US Department of Health and Human Services as a Regional Emergency Coordinator. Jeanne has worked for both Jackson Memorial Ryder Trauma Center in Miami and the Broward General Trauma Center in Ft. Lauderdale providing trauma and critical care. She is a part of the medical support team for the Tough Ride.
Debbie Geary, RN is presently working with the University of Miami. Debbie is also a law enforcement survivor since 1988. She is a past National COPS President (1998-2000) and has been a member of Law Enforcement United since 2013.
